Our Favorite Spring Dress Shirt

Even though it’s his job to make sure our assortment of dress shirts is exactly tailored to fit your style, Lyle Croft, Head Merchant at Paul Fredrick, weighs in on his favorite looks this season (a bit reluctantly of course, because he loves them all).
“Because so much work goes into designing each of our seasonal collection, it’s pretty hard to say ‘this is my favorite’-kind of like ‘which is your favorite child’. But if you make me pick just one, I guess my favorite shirt from Spring would be the satin stripe from our Italian Collection. The pattern developed for this shirt is a unique layout of stripes, not your run of the mill Bengal stripe. The color combination is a sophisticated pairing of gold and blue-not an in-your-face gold, but a rich cross between gold and brown. And, oh yeah, its French cuff, good luck finding this in a department store! I love the shirt. What really pushes it to #1 for me, though, is the way the tie and cufflinks work with it. The clever martini glass motif tie is great, and the way it pulls out the gold color in the strip of the shirt is perfect. Cap it off with the martini glass cufflink, and you’ve got the whole package. I’m not even a martini guy, but I can’t wait to wear this! And then you’ve got the real bonus: each piece is made to our exacting standards. Sure the design is great. But this level of quality is pretty much impossible to find anywhere else, even at twice the price. Couldn’t help getting that plug in here!” -LC
