The Quadruple Lutz
In figure skating, the quadruple lutz is the difficult move of a leap with four spins. In menswear, it's a phrase aficionados throw around to mean the complex execution of four different patterns. Here we have a plaid sport coat paired with a striped shirt, paisley tie, and patterned pocket square. Observe how the four, though different, harmonize, especially by relying on the same color family of blue and gray. Note that the trousers are solid.
||The quadruple lutz is usually done above the waist, but you could also do it with solid blazer and patterned pants.
